Applications are Open for NZISS for Indian Students

Broadmind Consultant would like to inform you all that the applications are now open for the New Zealand India Sports Cooperation Scholarships (NZISS) for Indian Students.

About NZISS:

The NZISS are scholarships for Indian students intending to study bachelor degrees, graduate diplomas or post-graduate sports related programmes at New Zealand universities, Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics in 2015. The scholarships form is part of the New Zealand Prime Ministers’ Education Initiative between New Zealand and India.

Value of Award:

• The scholarships cover one year of full time study only, and include
• Full tuition fees and associated student levies for one academic year only, paid direct to the NZ institution
• A $15,000 contribution to living costs pro-rata, one year only

Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are welcomed from candidates who meet ALL of the following criteria:

1. At least 18 years at the time of application
2. Indian citizen
3. NOT a citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand or Australia
4. Must have offer of place for direct entry into an approved programme
5. Offer must be non-conditional, the only exception being payment of fees
6. Must meet Immigration New Zealand requirements for a New Zealand Student Visa including health, character requirements and evidence of financial support www.immigration.govt.nz
7. Programme Eligibility Criteria

Applications are welcomed from eligible candidates to undertake programmes that meet ALL of the following criteria: 

1. Approved Disciplines: Sport & Exercise Science or Sport and Exercise Management, Sport & Recreation
2. Approved Start Date: February 2015 semester
3. Approved Level: Bachelor degrees, Graduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Diplomas and Masters
4. Approved Mode: Full time study while physically based in New Zealand (not from distance)
5. Approved Providers: New Zealand Universities, Institutes of Technology or Polytechnics (ITPs)

Submission date: Applications close on Friday, 3rd October 2014
